This poster is based on a theatre play, She Kills Monsters, which revolves around the idea of Dungeons and Dragons. In the director’s notes, he mentioned that he’d like the poster to give the feel of a 13-year-old girl’s diary. He wanted to include a lot of hand lettering and scribbles, the idea of the girl doodling. Most of this piece was done in a traditional medium to give that sense of journaling.
This is a poster that was done for UCF’s Women’s History Month for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The theme for 2018 was #NeverthelessShePersisted. This poster uses my own photography and it’s meant to highlight the women’s eyes as she faces the light and moves away from the dark. It is a symbol of women’s persistence and how they’re coming out of the dark. In this poster the eyes are highlighted to show the persistence in her eyes.
